Brain Based Chiropractic Care
Why Brain Based Chiropractic Care?
InsideOut-Chiropractic focuses on what is known as a brain-based chiropractic, which focuses on improving the function of the brain and it’s ability to coordinate every function in the entire body via communication through the nervous system leading to not only reversing disease but also improving quality of life. While typical pain-based chiropractic care traditionally gives primary focus to the spine, brain-based chiropractic concentrates on working with the brain and nervous system to not only promote quicker healing and pain relief but resolutions for chronic health conditions past just neck and low back pain.
The Brain & Nervous System
Our brain and nervous system regulates the health of the entire body. Every thought, emotion, movement, and bodily function originate within our brain which communicates through our nervous system. When we have an interference within this system due to one of the three T’s, Trauma, Toxins, Thoughts, the “motherboard” of our bodies is unable to perform properly. Thus causing sickness, disease, pain, emotional and mental illness. When we focus on prevention and care for the health of our brain and nervous system, our bodies are able to heal. We discuss this more in your initial visit. Book here today.
Correcting Subluxations
A subluxation is a slight misalignment of the vertebrae that negatively alters functionality of the brain and nervous system. A subluxation left alone can lead to more subluxations as the body attempts to correct itself. Through gentle techniques and without snapping, cracking, or popping, we are able to help correct these subluxations. People of all ages – from babies to the elderly – will benefit from frequent brain based chiropractic adjustments.
Benefits
Correcting and healing the central nervous system through brain based care has proven to be very beneficial for overall health in the human body and mind. Regardless of age, anyone can benefit from this type of chiropractic care, especially those suffering from physical pain, mental struggles, autoimmune disorders, digestive problems, insomnia, poor concentration, infertility, and more. Call us today to discuss your health concern.
Personalized Adjustments
With brain-based chiropractic adjustments, different parts of the body are stimulated that correspond to specific areas of the brain. By giving equal focus to both the brain and the spine, chiropractors are able to perform more specific, individualized adjustments on their patients. This ability to combine chiropractic spinal adjustments with improving brain communication function allows for a deeper understanding of what each body needs to recover and restore. Many people witness the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of brain-based chiropractic care almost immediately.
Brain-based chiropractic care helps your nervous system reach its optimal potential, which leads to a better, more fulfilling life.
“90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine.”
~Dr. Roger Sperry,
Neurobiologist and Nobel Laureate in Medicine

Brain-Based Chiropractic Philosophy
Brain-based chiropractic care is more of an overall mindset of Chiropractic care than it is a technique. It involves multiple different techniques and looks to the brain and nervous system to prevent disease and heal the root cause of illness. These techniques can be applied to both adults and children experiencing physical pain, mental struggles, digestive problems, insomnia, poor concentration, and more. Brain-based chiropractic care offers relief by returning your body and alignment to its natural state, allowing your body to heal itself. When we do this we are opening pathways in the central nervous system that have proven to be very beneficial for overall health in the human body and mind.
Since the brain controls and regulates every system and function in your body, it is of utmost importance to ensure that the brain receives proper care. Brain-based chiropractic is a method of care that corrects the spine in order to care for the brain. Messages sent by the brain travel down the spinal cord and exit the nerves to communicate with every cell, organ, tissue, joint, and muscle in the body. These messages are very specific and inform the body how to function properly in order to overcome disease and obtain optimal health.

KST Instrument Adjusting Chiropractic Technique
Koren Specific Technique (KST) is a neurological-focused chiropractic adjustment technique that is known for its long-lasting results. Named after Dr. Tedd Koren who discovered the technique in 2003, the KST became revolutionary in the chiropractic field.
The Koren Specific Technique utilizes a tool called an ArthroStim. This device eliminates the need for the typical chiropractic adjustment which results in relatively loud popping and cracking noises. This makes the KST a preferred type of adjustment by patients who do not enjoy the sounds of manual adjustments nor the seemingly forceful twisting of the spine. The ArthroStim creates a precise, accurate, and gentle way to manipulate the spine.
Once the chiropractor thoroughly analyzes a patient’s body to determine any areas that are out of position, the ArthroStim is used to generate a pin-pointed force of energy into specific parts of the body. Given at a speed of 12 hertz per second, the strong taps on the body help relieve nerve pressure and restore alignment in the body.

TIC Tonal Integrative Chiropractic Technique
Tonal Integrative Correction (TIC) is a gentle chiropractic method used to remove Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). It is a two step system beginning with spine analysis and followed by adjustment.
TIC analysis is designed to efficiently pinpoint the presence of VSC, allowing the chiropractor to administer targeted, precise, and effective care. The process of analysis is very specific, with accurate guidelines that assist in assessment of complex patient issues, including those as severe as missing limbs.
Regarding the adjustment, the approach is gentle and nuanced and can be performed by any trained chiropractor. The adjustment technique is applied while the patient is in either a seated or standing position, making it less strenuous on the chiropractor’s body. This results in a quick procedure that noticeably corrects postural imbalances from the first application.

Torque Release Chiropractic Technique
A Torque Release Technique (TRT) is a type of chiropractic adjustment that is delivered while the spine is in a relaxed neutral position and does not require a lot of force. Contrast this to a traditional chiropractic adjustment which stretches the spine to a point of tension before a relatively strong thrust is given. The Torque Release Technique is preferred by patients who do not enjoy the cracking and popping sounds of manual adjustments.
The Torque Release Technique is a neurological adjustment rather than a bone adjustment. It is quick, gentle, and specific. After a body analysis is performed to locate a patient’s primary subluxations, a small, handheld instrument called an Integrator delivers a strong, pin-pointed adjustment.
The precise adjustments delivered by the Integrator help the body heal itself. When the body is suffering from a subluxation, it will attempt to correct itself by shifting other vertebrae to compensate. This results in primary, secondary, and even tertiary subluxations. If only the secondary and tertiary subluxations are discovered and corrected, they will continue to be a problem unless the primary subluxation is taken care of. The Integrator is a very effective tool for locating and aligning primary subluxations.
